The look when you realize it’s dinner time and you are full of needles at the vet
Winter has been a bit rough for us. Dudley’s remaining back leg is starting to give him issues and he will buckle a little bit. He’s put on a little weight with the rain, darkness and cold weather but we will be working to get it off again. We had an acupuncture session today and I consulted with my acupuncture vet about treatment. I have a regular vet appointment scheduled on Monday to address his leg issues but my acupuncture vet came up with a good plan. Weight loss, glucosamine, fish oil, knee brace, adequan and rimadyl for pain. I know as the weather gets better, we will be able to get out more but he’s been so grumpy and gimpy this past month. It’s so hard seeing the remaining back leg be the issue but I was prepared for this when I adopted him.
My mom found a good website with a knee brace that won’t break the bank. I will be ordering one for him soon and hopefully get him started on the adequan injections. Hope everyone is doing well and so looking forward to welcoming spring and spotting our first trilliums along our slough walk!
Aww hey buddy good to see you! I had to look twice before I noticed you’re lookin’ like a porcupine! Hope it helps you feel better.
Really sorry that leg is bothering you. I’m overjoyed you are working with an expert to help you feel better, that sounds like a very good plan! Let us know how it goes, we will keep our paws crossed that it works quickly (you’d be surprised at what a difference losing even a pound can make on a doggie).
You’ve got this!
