Dudley is so close to the color of a deer and we live in the woods so I always want to find something that will say “hey, not a deer” Plus he is just too handsome to not accessorize! My previous dog was a GSD who had a massive mane…he was probably mixed with malamute and he looked incredibly ridiculous wearing a bandana or collar. Dudley is not good with sweaters or harnesses so I’ve stuck with the scarf/bandana road. I ordered these from a fellow Oregonian on Etsy who names all of her pieces for various towns/landmarks in Oregon and Washington. Her stuff is amazing and makes me so happy!

How is that elbow patch on his leg doing? Our Nellie has a similar one, but she has more fur there to protect it a bit. Being a Tripawd can be hard on the elbows.
And you are so right, he does look deer-colored!
The elbow hasn’t changed since I got him…I think that when he was in Texas, he probably spent time laying on concrete. His bed that we have works quite well and he loves his blankets. We have a vet appointment today so I will mention it to them 🙂
I do have paw balms that I might try on his elbow callus. It hasn’t gotten dried out or cracked! Hurray!
